Success Stories

Project Management
Developed and managed a supplemental type certificate (STC) program to install high speed data networks on five different aircraft models simultaneously, coordinating the efforts and schedules of four separate sites.  All 5 STCs were completed on time and under budget, providing the customer with a competitive advantage in attracting their high end customers.

Successfully turned around a several million dollar software development program. Managed a team of 7 software designers and 3 test technicians in developing a Homeland Security risk analysis software tool. The contract was in risk of default when we took over the project.  Delivered program functionality on time and on budget per a renegotiated schedule.

Achieved over half a million dollars per aircraft savings via leading a company wide multi-year cost savings project for an aircraft manufacturer.

Lean Specialist
As a Certified Lean Specialist, initiated and led Lean and Six Sigma improvement projects. Facilitated 10 major improvement projects and over 20 smaller projects. Experience leading engineering lessons learned meetings, initiated improvement efforts and building a continuous improvement culture.

Led an effort to get a special project’s FAA conformity inspections back on schedule. This vital part of the project had fallen behind schedule and was jeopardizing program success.
Developed a plan to obtain FAA conformity for several scientific instruments that were not designed per FAA requirements. Pulled the effort forward by 3 weeks and put the project back on schedule.

Reduced manufacturing time and inventory expenses by identifying and resolving process deficiencies that allowed known bad parts to be returned to inventory. Applied Lean principles with a cross functional team to identify and correct gaps in the processes that allowed suspect parts to remain in inventory.  Integrated the process changes into a software based solution over three enterprise level platforms (SAP, Salesforce, and TeamCenter).
